Well, I suppose there's no way to get started with this blog than just to start. I really have no idea, but my sweet girls are DRIVING ME CRAZY to start this. Nevermind I don't know a thing about what I'm doing. So here I sit on a beautiful early spring day typing away so as to not only appease them, but because I know that I should get started somewhere. Isn't there a song somewhere that says "let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start"? Well, I suppose that's where I should start.....NOT! Or else I'll never get started. Maybe I'll weave our story in and out of our blogs as I go.

Today is Tuesday, March 13th and shortly we'll be heading out for a couple of errands before taekwondo. Yes, we're taekwondo-ers, but mostly my sweet hubby who will be testing for black belt in a couple of months. Parker and Andrew are also progressing quite nicely while Jenna and I have decided that red (the current color of our belts) agrees with us.

Anyway, since this is a blog chronically our journey to sweet Jake, here's a quick update. We are waiting on our LOA for Jake and are on Day 33 or so. The wait for LOA is the longest of waits and the most unpredictable and could come anyday now up until 130 or so days. We are asking that folks pray with us that the wait would be short, but are trusting that if it is longer, that the Lord has a purpose in that as well. LOA stands for Letter of Acceptance which means that the CCCWA in China is reviewing our file and once we get approval for Jake specifically (we have pre-approval) the ball will get rolling to bring him home. After LOA it will be 2-3 months before we travel to pick him up. We are all still hoping to go to China but will see what the airfare is once we know when we'll be traveling. Please pray for Jake, his foster parents, and for us as we are answering God's call on our lives. We know there will be difficult roads ahead but we are excited to see how God will use that all for His purposes.

Okay, that wasn't so bad. Hmmmm......maybe I'll blog every day.
